Agenda: Countering the Escalation of Information Warfare with an emphasis on the Spread of Propaganda amidst Rising Geo-Political Tensions​

Information warfare has silently evolved into one of the most lethal weapons in battle in the world of increasing global tensions of today. Without ever drawing a firearm, governments and other actors today use social media and digital platforms to disseminate misinformation, skew public opinion, and meddle in democratic institutions. From deepfakes to AI-generated lies and cyber-attacks, the line separating fact from fiction is erasing quickly and seriously jeopardising peace and global confidence.
Delegates, today we have to ask: How should we define and handle information warfare? How can we control foreign digital influence and create structures for fact-checking and responsibility before truth turns into the first victim?
